posted almost 2 years ago by DisasterRecoveryCentre from Manning Valley Emergency Support
The Killabakh Community Association has partnered with Samaritans Purse and are calling upon our wider community for help by volunteering their time (and muscles) to help Killibakh residents with clearing up their homes after the recent fires.
If you would like to give a hand please come to the Killibakh Hall at 8am, Saturday 14th December. Morning tea and lunch will be provided as well as an afternoon tea debrief at 4pm if you would like to hang around.
Volunteers will be required to take directions from Samaritans Purse Team Leaders, complete a Samaritans Purse volunteer form and view a Video Safety Induction at 8:15 am.
Volunteers will need to bring their own Personal protective equipment including: Long pants, Steel cap or sturdy boots, sun protection (wide brimmed hat, sunscreen etc) & gloves.
Please also bring along any helpful tools you may have such as, rakes, shovels, mattocks etc.
You can contact KCA president Anna Axisa for any further information Anna.firstname.lastname@example.org
